About Whitman, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, Whitman is a mostly residential community with a population of around 14,500. This community has a history in the shoemaking industry, and at one time, over 20 shoe factories operated here. Whitman is also the birthplace of the chocolate chip cookie, as Ruth Grave Wakefield invented the treat here at the Toll House Inn in the late 1930s. Whitman is located about 24 miles south of Boston, and residents can easily commute into the city via the Kingston/Plymouth Rail Line.

Whitman is a relatively small, residential community, so there are few major attractions located here. However, there are certain places that both visitors and residents enjoy checking out when in town. Shopping is popular in the community, as specialty shops like Bikebarn, Angel Rosebeads, Smoke & Ashes Tobacco Co., and Flowers Forever are located here. Residents who are hosting a party or event for kids often enjoy contacting Game Truck Boston. There are a few ice cream shops located in Whitman to help residents cool off on a hot day, including Pinches & Pounds and Peaceful Meadows Ice Cream. There are also several golf courses located in the immediate vicinity, including Extreme Golf and Ridder Golf Course in neighboring East Bridgewater.

Despite its position in the Northeastern U.S., Whitman is home to a variety of different weather conditions that may require the use of climate control systems in order to stay comfortable. During the winter months, residents will often use their heat pump or furnace system in order to avoid potentially dangerous, freezing conditions, as overnight lows tend to fall below the freezing point. Likewise, an energy efficient and reliable air conditioning unit is often a necessity during the summer months when temperatures reach the 80s and combine with high humidity. Your HVAC specialist is a good resource in helping you to find the right systems for your home.
