About Rockland, MA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Rockland, Massachusetts is a town located in Plymouth County, and about 17,500 people called this community home as of 2010. This town was originally incorporated in 1874, and it is known for being the site of landing strips with the South Weymouth Naval Air Station, although the facility closed in 1996. Rockland is only 8 miles northeast of Brockton and 22 miles south of Boston, and while it is easy to commute into the city for work, many residents stay in town to work at a headquarters of one of the city’s many businesses, including Tedeschi Food Shops and Rockland Trust Company.

Rockland is primarily a residential community, but there are still a few notable things to do when in the area. If you are looking to heal your body physically and emotionally, a trip to Healing by Marcia might be in order, as this facility offers yoga and massage therapy. Day spas like Verona Salon and Waiting to Escape can also provide resident and visitors with a day of rest and relaxation. Shopping is also popular in the area, with specialty shops in Rockland including Piano Mill, Tilden’s Florist, Rockland Athletic Supplies, and Vintage Home Warehouse.

Whether you are out for a shopping trip or are taking a walk in one of the region’s many parks, it will be important to know what to expect in terms of weather. The summer months are usually hot and humid, with July being the hottest month of the year. While thermostat readings might say it is in the 80s, the muggy air can make it feel even warmer. You’ll be thankful you used the spring months to have your central air conditioning unit serviced by a professional.

The winter months are cool or cold, and depending on the year, the region might experience precipitation in the form of cold rain or heavy snowfall. Considering the fact that overnight lows fall below the freezing point, it is easy to see how this precipitation could make outdoor conditions dangerous. If you are stuck indoors due to the weather, your furnace or heat pump will keep your family warm.
